Rest in peace, Mr. Hitchens. You were a beautiful and brilliant man.

I disagreed with a good deal of what Hitch espoused (specifically his neo-conservative defense of the war in Iraq) but I treasure the level of intelligence he was able to bring to public discourse. He was the greatest debater of our time, and now he is gone. I would throw an RIP in here, but I’m fairly sure he would scoff at such a sanctimonious gesture.
